We had an amazing time with everyone who came out to the Mounted Patrol stables yesterday for our annual open house! Visitors had a great time meeting the horses and officers, seeing demonstrations and getting to know our other animal-centered unit: Canine!
We would like to thank every single one of you who were able to attend yesterdays event. The overall support and appreciation that our community shows towards our law enforcement community does not go unnoticed. Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts!!!

Meet "Samson" our newest potential Mounted Police horse. He is a Percheron/Paint cross. He will now start his training to becoming a Mounted Police Horse. Thank You Laurie Virkstis and Northridge Farms for giving us the opportunity with him. KC is going to love this guy.

We were proud to be part of the Community Helpers Event at Della Lamb Elementary today. They were a great group of 1st graders!
Meet Bear, the newest member of the KCPD Mounted Patrol. Bear is a 14 year old Shire/Paint cross who stands 16.2 and has a very stocky build. Bear will now begin his training period to see if he has what it takes to be part of the group.

201 riders and horses rode to the Liberty Memorial in #KansasCity to show support for law enforcement officers and to honor those slain in the line of duty.
